Jonathan Keigher, PhD is a clinical psychologist, chief clinical officer, and supervisor with over 25 years of clinical experience.
Dr. Keigher received a bachelor's degree in psychology from Yeshiva University and a doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology from the City University of New York. While studying at City University, he specialized in the assessment and treatment of severe psychopathology in adolescents and adults. Additionally, Dr. Keigher trained extensively in the areas of trauma, interpersonal attachments and personality disorders.
Dr. Keigher completed his psychology internship at Manhattan Psychiatric Center (MPC) in New York City. While at MPC, he received additional training in the diagnosis, assessment, and treatment of individuals with severe mental illnesses, as well as training in sexual offender risk assessments and neuropsychological testing.
Since obtaining his doctoral degree, Dr. Keigher gained further expertise in forensic psychology and New York State's Mental Hygiene and Criminal Procedure Law, including forensic evaluations for competency, not guilty by reason of insanity (CPL 330.20), civil commitment of sexual offenders (Mental hygiene Law article 10) and treatment over objection. He has also taught and supervised advanced doctoral students and medical residents in individual and group psychotherapy and assessment.
Dr. Keigher has also been an adjunct faculty professor at Brooklyn College, William Patterson University, New Jersey City University, and Montclair State University.
He is currently the chief clinical officer of one of the largest nonprofit behavioral health agencies in New York State, overseeing the treatment of tens of thousands of patients and the clinical work of hundreds of clinicians each year.
